Obituary of Craig R. Hughes

Craig R. Hughes, Sr., age 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was born in Pennsylvania on January 28, 1949 and lived most of his life in Vineland, NJ.
Craig learned early in life that he wanted to become a plumber. He had his own company, "Craig R Hughes Plumbing," and worked many years for and with his longtime friend, Jack Barretta.
Craig was a proud member of the Vineland Master Plumbers Association to which he was granted a lifetime membership in 2014. He was also a member of the New Jersey State League of Master Plumbers Inc. and held the office of president from 2006-07. Craig cherished the genuine friendships that were made with his fellow tradesmen. Through it all, he never forgot he was a plumber.
Craig will be missed dearly by his wife, Beatrice (Daly) Hughes; sons, Craig Jr. (Michelle) and Robert Hughes; as well as one daughter, Danielle Hughes Lusinski (Kevin). He was a proud Poppop, survived by his grandchildren, Craig III, Taylor and Earl Hughes, Scott Hoffman, and our very recent addition, Carson Lusinski.
He is survived by brother-in-law, George Boehm; sister, Bonnie Jackson (Clinton), sister, Diane Carter and sister, Linda Angrisane; brother, James Hughes (Patricia); sister, Susan Pierce. Craig was predeceased by his father, Robert Thomas Hughes; mother, Ruth G. Hughes; brother, Thomas Hughes; and sister, JoAnn Boehm. Craig is also survived by his mother-in-law, Shirley Daly; sister-in-law, Debra Hutchings (Dennis); sister-in-law, Pamela Daly (Forrest) and brother-in-law, George Daly.
Craig was predeceased by his father-in-law, Harry Daly; brother-in-law, Daniel Daly; sister-in-law, Bonnie Smith. Craig was blessed with, and loved, his many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 1-3pm, at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. If inclined, donations may be made in honor of Craig to the Alzheimer's Association, South Jersey Chapter. We walked the walks and he fought the fight.
