Obituary of George R Curtis

Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George Raymond Curtis passed away on December 29th, 2020 at the age of 89. George was raised in South Philadelphia by his mother, Blanche and stepfather, Richard. George graduated from high school and enlisted in the US Navy in 1951 where he proudly served four years as Yeoman, Third Class in the Anti-Submarine Squadron Thirty Division. After his Navy career, George went on to work his entire working career for Firestone and Goodyear Tires as a Regional Sales Manager. His time working there took him and his family throughout the east coast spending some years in Central Florida. George was an epic story teller, a loyal friend and a witty comedian, but what the one thing he was most proud of being was a loving father and husband. Family came first to him above all else, and that can be attested to by all that knew him, especially by his partner in life and love, Marge. George is survived and missed dearly by his wife of sixty-eight years, Margaret (Eppihimer) Curtis; sons, George (Maryann) and Gregg (Sharon) and preceded by his son, Gary. He was a proud Pop Pop of nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jamie, Ashley, Brittany, Grant, Chrissy, Ronnie, and Garrett and his great grandchildren, Max, Hasan, Tristan, Liam and Layla. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm, with funeral services at 3:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private.
