Jacqueline Gaughan Blaydes, 59, of Cape May Court House departed this world on December 30, 2020 at Cape Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Jackie was born in Philadelphia but was raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Millville Senior High. She served honorably in the United States Navy for 20 years as a Naval Corpman retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After her retirement from the United States Navy, Jackie continued her education and received her Masters degree in business from Hood College of Maryland. She started her second career and continued her life's passion as a Veterans Representative for the Cape May County One Stop Career Center. She worked tirelessly for the veterans of Cape May County as a member of the Citizens and Veterans Advisory Committee (CVAC). The other true loves of her life were her family and her dogs, Cody Bear and Tinker. She is predeceased by her mother, Leona Majewski. She is survived by her father, Joseph Majewski of Leesburg; sisters, Pamela Gaughan and Michelle Majewski of Leesburg, sister Cookie and Melvin Elmer of Bridgeton; brother, Dennis and Diane Gaughan of Buena, brother, John and Kathy Gaughan of Jacksonville Florida and brother, Bernie and Danette Gaughan of Millville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 11am to 1pm with funeral services to follow at 1pm at the Living Waters Veterans Memorial Chapel in Wildwood, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CVAC in Jackie's honor. All COVID and social distancing rules will be followed. Please wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
