Obituary of Marilyn Hatch

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn A. Hatch, 91 years old of Vineland, NJ. For the first time in many years, our Mother is seeing with 20/20 vision, she is standing tall when walking, and having no more pain! Mom has been reunited with her family and welcomed into her eternal place of rest that Jesus promises to all who believe! Mom passed from life; to life eternal on the evening of January 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born on October 13, 1929, in Forest Grove, NJ, to Yancy Denelsbeck and Alice (Denelsbeck) Reynolds. Marilyn was a strong woman of faith and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Vineland for 80 years. Over the years she served the church as a Sunday school teacher, as well as the Sunday School Superintendent. She was a member of the Woman's Club of the church and served on the Official Board for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star and a founding member of the Semper Marine Detachment # 205 Ladies Auxiliary. Marilyn was employed by WT. Grant and also by Siloam Cemetery as the secretary. She was also, President of the Park and East Mother's Club, as well as holding several positions with the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts. One of her favorite jobs was working on the Election Board for over 30 years. Her polling place for many years was Vineland Fire Company #4. Only a few voters would need to give their names because she already knew most of them and their addresses by heart. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, crossword puzzles, word searches, and watching her favorite game shows. She treasured her time with family and friends, shopping and breakfast outings with her best friend and spending time with her church pew buddies. Christmas time was a very special time for her, decorating for the holidays, hosting holiday get-togethers and having everyone to the house after Christmas Eve Midnight Church Services, as well as summertime BBQ's around the pool. If you entered her home as a stranger, you would surely leave as a member of her family! She was predeceased by her parents, Yancy and Alice (Denelsbeck) Reynolds and by her brothers, Robert and infant twin brother, Allen and her beloved husband L. Coleman Hatch. Marilyn is survived by her four children, Donna Strain (Robert), Deborah Mishkin (Dr. David), Douglas Hatch, and Dennis Hatch (Tracy); grandchildren, Laura L. Dolbow (Eric), Robert C. Strain (Dina), Christopher J. Hatch (Kelli), and great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Robert Strain.
