Obituary of Luis E. Andujar

Luis “Ricky” Andujar was called to be with the Lord unexpectedly on January 22, 2021. Luis was born in Vineland and raised in Buena, where he was a graduate of Buena Regional High School. Luis graduated from the Camden County Police Academy in 2010 and was employed as a Correctional Police Officer by the Cumberland County Department of Corrections for the past 13 years, where he was a member of an elite team of officers called the Special Operations Group. Luis developed a passion for sports early in life when he played both football and wrestling in school. He loved playing on his work football and softball teams, and also coached his son’s football team, the Clayton Clippers. When he wasn’t participating in sports, Luis loved to watch his favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Luis was a dedicated and amazing father, and a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was also a caring friend that believed in spreading positivity through everyone he came in contact with, and had the ability to light up a room with his infectious smile and sense of humor, which will be dearly missed. Luis is survived by his mother, Luz Martinez; four beautiful children, Bonnie, Mason, Jordan, Nathan; sisters and brother, Mariluz & Carlos Pomales, Marisol Andujar; nieces & nephew, Melissa Martinez & Jose Ayala, Melanie Pomales, Kayla Pomales; great niece and nephews, Stephen, Amari, and Amayah, Roberto Echeverria, Michelle Kincade, as well as many loving friends, including his fellow brothers and sisters in blue. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 5, 2021, from 5pm to 7pm and again on Saturday February 6, 2021 from 9am to 11am followed by funeral services at 11am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 South Lincoln Ave, Vineland NJ. Burial will follow at Our Ladies of Victories Cemetery in Landisville, NJ.
