Obituary of Gladys J. Alvarez

Gladys Alvarez 66, of Vineland passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. Born in San Juan, P.R. and raised in Milwaukee, WI where she lived until she moved to Vineland, NJ. She worked for Newcomb Medical Center until she retired. Gladys loved spending time with her family and friends. She is the glue that keeps our family together. She lit up any room she came into and was loved by so many. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Ambassador Christian Academy. She is survived by her special companion, Andy Colon; daughters and spouses, Ermelinda and Mark Smith, Sarita Gonzalez and Juan Crespo, Madeline and Eugene Santos; grandchildren and their spouses, Julissa and Joseph D'Alonzo, Melissa and Chad Santiago, Neisha Fred and Pedro Mendez, Yesenia Fred, Sammantha Fred, Yomara Crespo, Joseph Santos, Nathaniel Hardie, Blaze Santos, Moises Santos and several more grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Avianna Marrero, Joseph D'Alonzo Jr., Rosemarie D'Alonzo, Isabel Santiago, Aliana Rosa, Jaidah Miranda, Julian Henry, Nilah Howard and several more great-grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Fernando and Cruz Maria Alvarez and Josefa Osorio. Family and friends are invited to attend a walk-through viewing on Monday, February 8th, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with funeral services at 2:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ. Burial is private. Masks and physical distancing will be required.
