Obituary of Robin C Cruz

Robin Cruz, 29, went to be with our Lord unexpectedly on January 27, 2021. He was born in Vineland and a longtime resident of Landisville, NJ. He moved to Galloway in 2014 prior to the birth of his lovely daughter Rosalie Lyn Cruz (6) and the Love of his Life Shyann Lynn Hunter. Robin is the son of Immacolata "Emma" Barrella and Carlos "Indio" Cruz, grandson of Rosa Barrela, brother of David Barrella, loving father of Rosalie Lyn Cruz and Fiancé of Shyann Lynn Hunter. Robin attended the Buena Regional School District throughout his childhood. In Cleary Middle School he learned to play trumpet and realize he was very good at it. Then in Buena Regional High School he started playing football. He was a wide receiver and soon learned he loved the sport so much. He was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh "Steelers Nation". Once he graduated high school he attended Atlantic Cape County Community College and received an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice. During his college years Robin soon discovered Archery, and that became his true love and passion. When you think of Robin you picture him with the "bow" in his hand. Another one of Robin's passion was fishing, but believe it or not he would "never eat fish" although he loved seafood. Robin was full of life. He was that "funny guy" and very mature for his age. He made time for everyone, he was a true friend. To those who were fortunate enough to know Robin, his laugh, his smile and his teddy bear hugs were so contagious it was clear to see Robin truly had a heart of GOLD. Robin was an awesome father, a supportive son and grandson, a loving fiancé, and a great friend. He will be sadly MISSED by US all. Robin is survived by his mother, Immacolata "Emma" Barrella; father, Carlos "Indio" Cruz; grandmother, Rosa Barrella; brother, David Barrella; fiancée, Shyann Lynn Hunter and loving daughter, Rosalie Lyn Cruz; uncles, Maurizio "Maurice" Barrella, Francisco "Frank" Barrella and Cantoni "Marco" Barrella (Michele); aunts, Carmen Colon and Maria Cruz; step-siblings, Antonio Cruz, and Anatasia Cruz and many many cousins and dear friends. His grandfather Lawrence "Sonny" Cantoni, grandparents Carmen Pamales Cruz and Edwin Cruz, his aunt; Rita Barrella, uncles; Eddie Cruz and Vincenzio "Enzo" Barrella have welcomed Robin into heaven. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8pm at DeMarco Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and on Thursday at the Chestnut Assembly of God, Chestnut Ave., Vineland from 11am to 12pm with a funeral service at 12pm, officiated by Pastor Tony Cotto.
