Raimundo "Ray" Marquez III
Ray Marquez, age 82, of Vineland passed away early Friday morning, February 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Ray was born on July 8, 1938. He was a longtime resident of Vineland and was a permanent presence at his East Landis Hotel.
In addition to his love of work, Ray was a Life Time United States Judo Association member. He reached the elite rank of Hachidan, 8th degree black belt. He was a giant presence in his beloved sport awarding countless black belts that will continue his legacy.
Ray leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Joann; children, Lynn Berni, Joann Hamblin, Cynthia DiMatteo, Beverly Marquez, Raimundo Marquez and Kathleen Marquez.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 9am to 11am with funeral services at 11am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ. Interment/repast will be at the discretion of the family.
