It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aquilina Minerva Colon, which occurred on April 13, 2021 at the age of 84 in Vineland, NJ.
Aquilina was born in Encrucijada Las Villas, Cuba to Manuel Carrazana and Blanca Nieves Llano on October 19, 1936. She migrated to the United States with her husband and daughter in search of a better life in June of 1969. She worked hard all her life and was a kind, compassionate and caring woman. She was a 22 year Breast Cancer survivor, loved children, and was devoted to her faith and church. She was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish in Vineland, N.J.
She has helped many people in her life and will be deeply missed by all.
Aquilina is survived by her husband, Gabriel Colon Jimenez of Vineland; mother of Alina Cabezas (married to Hector Cabezas), and son, Manuel Dominquez; sister of Jose Manuel Carrazana (married to Dulce Carranza), and Anna Rosa Carranza; grandmother of Andrew Cabezas (married to Olivia Gomez Cabezas), Christopher Cabezas, Brianna Cabezas, and Ariana Dominquez and aunt of Lazaro Perez.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Pascual Aquiles Dominguez, parents, Manuel Carrazana and Blanca Nieves Llano.
The family will be greeting friends and relatives on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 10am to 11:30am with funeral services to follow at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 South Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery 741 E. Walnut Rd, Vineland, NJ.
