Carmella fought with all she had right to the end. She was always positive in life, living each day as an example to those around her.
Carmella was a long-time faithful member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. Attending her church was always something she looked forward to each week. In her former years, she was also a member of St. Peter's Church in Merchantville and St. Bernards in Dorothy. Her faith in God and love for her Family were what she valued most. Her doors were always open to someone that needed a meal or place to stay. Those that knew her will remember her beautiful smile and unforgettable laugh.
Carmella was a graduate of the Class of 1950, OverBrook High School in Philadelphia. Immediately following graduation, Carmella was married to John Wilson and began her family of 5 sons. Along with being a wonderful mother, Carmella worked 20+ years for American Bank Stationary in Pennsauken, NJ as a customer service representative. She also was employed at Lenox in later years.
She loved to dance, cook Italian specialties for the family, but she was mainly known for her authentic baking. Especially her famous Christmas cookies. To some of her great grandchildren she was known as "MomMom COOKIE". She just loved her family and gathering with all of them as often as possible. Her sons were her life, and she had a beautiful relationship with each of them. Carmella loved all sports. The Phillies were her favorite. Carmella was a true fan.
Carmella was predeceased by both her parents, Anthony Carfield and Mary (Testa) Carfield. Her sons, James Wilson and Tom Wilson; grandson, David Hinkley and her late husband's, John Wilson and Anthony Amoroso, who were her truest loves.
