George N. “Dewey” Smaniotto, Sr., 80 of Vineland, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Born in Vineland, NJ., he was a lifelong area resident. George helped run the family farm and worked as a carpenter for Glassboro State College until he retired. He was a lifelong lover of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening.  He always shared the fruits of his labor with friends and family. George enjoyed spending time with his family - especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife Linda (Brunetta), his parents Anthony Sr. and Anna M. (Scaglia), his sister and brother-in-law Lucille and Earl Wobensmith, his brother Anthony Smaniotto Jr, his in laws Mario and Evelyn Brunetta, his brothers in law Edward Sutter and Raymond Franceschini Sr, his sister-in-law Marie “Jackie” Brunetta, and his nephew Eugene Brunetta.

He is survived by his children George Jr. and David (Prudence). His grandchildren Nicholas (Clarissa) Smaniotto, Gina Smaniotto, Stephen Kubiak, and Tyler Kubiak, and his 2 great-granddaughters Briar Rose Maria and Winifred Evelyn.

He is also survived by his siblings; Gloria Franceschini, Richard (Beverly)Smaniotto, Alice Sutter and his sister-in-law, Joan Smaniotto, his brothers in law; E. Richard (Jeanne) Brunetta; and Mario (Donna) Brunetta; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday May 28, 2021 beginning at 10am at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland, NJ Mass will follow at 10:30am.
