Obituary of Esther Quintana

Please share a memory of Esther to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Esther Quintana (née Mari) passed away after a long illness on Friday, May 28, 2021. She was born in Cuba and emigrated to the US with her husband and 3 small children in 1969. She resided in Vineland for most of her life as a homemaker.

She was a loving mother and wife whose priority was to care and nurture her family. Esther loved to sew and was an excellent cook. She was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of those who came to know her. She was quick witted and funny and was well-known for her generosity. She had a love of animals, especially for stray cats that wandered into the neighborhood and somehow always would find our home.

She is survived by her son, Jose Quintana of Vineland and daughter, Noemi Quintana-Evans of Little Ferry, New Jersey as well as daughter-in-law, Aida Quintana along with her two children, Allison and Charlie and 6 grandchildren.

Esther is predeceased by her beloved husband, Pedro Quintana of 57 years and her eldest son, Pedro J. Quintana.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Bishop McCarthy Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare for their many years of excellent care. We are forever indebted to the wonderful caregivers and staff for their continued kindness and support.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Esther's name to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) through their website: ASPCA.org.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Masks and social distancing rules are mandatory for all that attend.
