Cornelius "Neil" Lewis III, age 74, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Cooper Hospital, Camden with his brother, Stephen at his side. Born in Easton, Pennsylvania to Sarah May Haring and Cornelius Lewis Jr., Neil lived in Vineland for most of his life.
He was a 1965 graduate from Vineland High School. A United States Army Vietnam Veteran, he was proud to serve.
Neil was active in the DAV and most recently was given the office of Treasurer. He retired from Kimble Glass, after 38 years and worked at the Cumberland County Guidance Center for 12 years in the Maintenance Department. He looked forward going to the Vineland City Council meetings with his brother, Stephen. Neil was a kind-hearted and easy-going guy. He enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his son, Bill and grandson, Anthony and faithfully attended all of Anthony's baseball games. Neil loved going to dinner with his wife, Linda especially at the casinos and loved to see the shows at the casinos. He also enjoyed his yearly family vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC. Neil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; son, William "Bill" (Iris); daughters, Tina and Renee; grandsons, Anthony and Joshua, all of Vineland; 2 brothers, Stephen A. (Mary) Lewis, of Vineland; Frank (June) Lewis, of Buena; sisters, Janice M. (Craig) Conrad, of Oak Hill, Florida and Lynne L. Lewis, of Elmer and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm with a funeral service at 3:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private.
