Ruth "Tata" Velez Suero, 70, of Bronx, New York went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2021. Although Ruth lived most of her life in New York City, she was a Vineland resident for many years. Ruth was born to Pedro Velez and Mercedes Nieves on November 12, 1950 in Bronx, New York. Ruth grew up in the Spanish Pentecostal Church where her father was a pastor. She attended Morris High School in 1969 and worked for Bronx Welding Supply as a bookkeeper, and later, as a substitute teacher for Vineland Board of Education. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Ruth also loved cooking and was an amazing cook. She was actively involved in her church where she loved attending worship, listening to sermons, and meeting with friends. She was a proud graduate of Bible Institute and consistently fed her faith with reading the Word of God. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was both giving and self-sacrificing in helping those in need. She bore much good fruit for the Kingdom of God. Ruth joins her parents, Pedro and Mercedes Velez; her brothers, Pedro Velez Jr, Richard Velez, and George Rodriguez and his wife Benigna Rodriguez in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Romulo R. Suero; her sister, Lydia Velez Perez; her brother, Ruben Velez; her children, Romulo Antonio, Rose Elizabeth, and Evelyn Iveliz; her grandson, Cesar and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, September 3rd at 9:00am at Living Hope Assemblies of God Church, 1059 W. He who believes I Me, though he may dies, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
