Obituary of Dolores M. Cairone

Dolores Marie Cairone (nee Ceto) passed away on August 30, 2021 at the age of 88, with her family by her side. Born on September 17, 1932, in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Nicolo Ceto and Marie Siebenlist. She was one of five children. Dolores began attending beauty school during her high school years and took great pride in her profession as a hairdresser. After beauty school she met and fell in love with Joseph Cairone. They married on January 7, 1951, and so began a seventy-year love story. They began their married life in Malaga, New Jersey, where they raised their three daughters. In 1967 Dolores opened the Town and Country Beauty Salon. She was a wonderful hairdresser and loved by all her customers, who would go on to become great friends. Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dolores was the heart of her home and she cherished her family. When she wasn't in her beauty shop, she could be found in her kitchen, where she loved cooking. Her family would gather on Sundays to enjoy her spaghetti and meatballs, sharing love and laughter. She passed down her love of cooking to her children and grandchildren, knowing her traditions would be carried on for generations. Dolores loved shopping and loved the holidays. In October she would say "We have to start shopping for Christmas!". Buying for others brought her great joy. She also loved having a good cup of coffee and talking for hours. She loved traveling, and she and her husband Joseph had the opportunity to travel extensively. She enjoyed summer vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey with her family. Dolores will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Diana Horn of Malaga, Sharon Grochowski (Michael) of Franklinville, and Barbara Morris (Michael) of Delran; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph, by one day. A viewing for Dolores will be held at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, New Jersey, on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm, followed by a Catholic mass on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:30 am at The Parish of St. Michael The Archangel, Church of the Nativity, 2677 Delsea Dr., Franklinville, New Jersey. Interment will follow at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores's name to the American Heart Association. Masks are required at the funeral home and church.
