Our beloved mother, Eloina Morales (née Ojeda), 77 of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021, at Cooper Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Naguabo, PR, moved to New York in her late teens for a short period, and then moved to Vineland. She had been a resident in Vineland for many years.

She was the daughter of Estanislao Ojeda and Feliciana "Nery" Escobar. She was predeceased by her late husband, Jose "Tono" Morales; her brother, Ismael Ojeda; her grandson, Michael Jevon and her step-daughter,.Jenny Morales.

Eloina worked at Progresso Foods for over 20 years. She was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, friend and devoted grandmother. She loved to watch novellas, spending time with family and friends, and going to the casinos. Eloina's passion was cooking and bringing her family together to enjoy all she had to offer. She also took great pride in spoiling her family, especially her grandchildren. Those who knew her well, knew how much she loved flowers.

Eloina will be sadly missed by her children, John Torres of Garfield, Besaida Rodriguez (John) of Vineland, Mary Ann Garcia (Lou) of Vineland and Madelyne Soto (Miguel) of Vineland; her step-son, Jose Morales of Florida; her brothers, Roberto Ojeda (Margarita) of Puerto Rico, Stan Ojeda of Vineland, Aladino Ojeda (Lucrecia) of Puerto Rico, Willy Ojeda (Elba) of Florida and Hector Ojeda (Adelsa) of Vineland and her sisters, Lucy Ojeda of Vineland and Ramonita Ojeda (Paul) of Puerto Rico. She was a loving Nana to Dominique Santana (Alex), Jonathan, Jason and Kayla Rodriguez, Michael Perez, John Michael Torres, Britney Torres, Jerek and Cassidy Garcia, Joseph Mattiucci and Genna Soto; great grandmother to Sariah Santana, Alexis, Michael and Analees Perez. Along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. Eloina will also be missed by her best friend and sister in-law, Gloria, a friendship like no other, and her home health aid Marta Sanchez, who took great care of her, brightened her days with beautiful flowers and homemade baked goods.

Ironically, Mom left us on the same day our father left us 18 years ago on September 20th. Until we meet again Mami, Rest in Peace.
