Obituary of Lisa Ann Orr
Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lisa Ann Orr was born in Bridgeton NJ on December 3, 1964, to Eddie Lee Holt and the late Margret Orr-Perry. Lisa fought through the last 11 years with various medical setbacks. Including a multitude of surgeries, being placed on life support multiple times, and dialysis three times a week; just to mention a few. Through it all Lisa kept God first and left it all in his hands. God took away the burden of her fight, when he called her home to be with him on September 27, 2021, at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland NJ.
Lisa attended Bridgeton Public Schools. She went on to become a CNA and worked at Renaissance Nursing Home (currently South Jersey Extended Care). She also worked at IGA (currently Save-A-Lot) as a Head Cashier. However, the role Lisa took most pride in was Homemaker. Lisa did just that, "make a home" for so many people who didn't have one. She loved and cared for numerous people that crossed her path. Lisa would help and give to ANY and EVERYONE that she could. Whether it be shelter, clothes, or food. Lisa LOVED to cook. In addition to cooking, Lisa loved music, singing, and dancing. Some of her all-time favorite songs were "Midnight Train to Georgia", "Sadie", and "Dear, Mama". Prior to Lisa's declining health on any given day, you could find her cleaning and cooking, while listening to music, or watching tv. She was an avid Maury and Young and the Restless watcher. On Sunday's she cheered for her favorite team the Green Bay PACKERS!!!
The two things Lisa loved above anything else, were God and her family. No matter the situation, she always said, "Give it to the man above, and he'll work it out." She became a member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she was welcomed with open arms by Pastor Robert & Lily Walters. She was proud to call them her church family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, the love of her life Alfonso Shaw. Her children Letitia, Alphonso, Ashley, and Levi Orr; Viola (Shaun) Victor, Charles Hannah, Shardelle and Shayla Williams. Her grandchildren: Caiyden Lawrence; Allisa, A'lisa, Alissia, and Al'layia Orr; Amari Gillis; Antonio Jr. and Antwan Winrow; A'Naiya Shaw; Anastasia, Aceyon, and Ariyon Shepperd; Tyson, Carman, Braylyn, Olivia, Cory, and Justice Orr; A'Shonte, Shaun Jr., and Janae Victor; Kayana and Ja-li Hannah. 9 sisters Sharlotte(Abraham) Jones, Sonya Rogers, Marlena(Andy) Jordan-Rivera, Shannon Jordan Pierce, Margaret Orr; Eden, Dawn, and Ronee Holt. 3 brothers Kurt Palmer Sr., Eddie Holt Jr., and Raymond Jordan Jr. Bonus children: Shana Russell and Samantha Brown.
