I was in 7th or 8th grade when I met Mary & Gene. Living just a couple of blocks away from their home in Minotola I use to mow the lawn and water the landscaping/flowers when they were away vacationing. I haven't seen or spoken to them in over 40 years but will never forget how fair & generous they were to some kid looking for odd jobs in the neighborhood.
