Obituary of Luz Maria Figueroa
Luz Maria (Collazo) Figueroa age 90 of Vineland, died peacefully on October 23, 2021, surrounded by her daughters at Inspira Hospital.
She was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico to Ramon and Margarita Rodriguez. Luz, or Lulu as she was called, was a seamstress who worked for De Rossi and Son till her retirement. Once retired, she loved being a homemaker. She was a member of the Iglesia Presbiteriana Bet-El on Fourth Street. She liked doing crafts and reading her Bible. In her later years, she liked watching Caso Cerrado and some telenovelas.
Lulu is survived by her three daughters, Yolanda Figueroa Wright (Robert), Norma Collazo Puccio (Carmen) and Brunilda( Bobbie) Collazo Scarani; her grandchildren, Heather Wright Papiano (Henry) and Alison Wright Shaffer (Dustin), David (Ericka), Jason, and Mathew (Shannon) Puccio, and Vanessa Scarani Bowen (Frank); her great grandchildren, Riley, Morgan and Henry Papiano, Damien McFarland, Marty Shaffer, and Aiden, Alexis and Max Puccio; and great great grandchildren, Elijah and Nadiya Puccio. She is also survived by her sisters, Justina Herman, Esther Barriero (Tony), and Veronica Torres of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Marcelino Max (Collazo) Figueroa, and daughter, Lillia Collazo; her parents; and brothers, Ismael and Ramon Rodriguez; and brother-in-law, Noe Torres.
Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, October 29th from 10am until 11:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. She will be laid to rest at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Due to Covid, masks are required.
