Obituary of Theresa M Elia

Theresa M. Elia (nee Danna), 94 of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 1, 2021.

Born in Rosenhayn to the late Joseph and Mary Danna (nee Congelosi), she was a longtime member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish and a devout Catholic who loved sharing her faith with others. Over the years, she made countless rosary beads to donate to The Littlest Angel to make sure others could share in prayer.

Throughout her life, she ran many family businesses with her husband, but her favorite job was as a salesperson in the drapery department of Dry Goods/Value City.

Theresa loved baking, making special holiday cakes for her family every year. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and later taking her grandchildren on special day trips. She was also an avid gardener and especially loved roses.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Robert G. Elia, Sr.; and her son, Robert G. Elia, Jr.

She is survived by her children: Louis Elia (Vicky), Kathleen Maven (Kirk), and Terri Elia; her daughter-in-law, Marcia Elia; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family; and her beloved granddogs.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:30pm. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
