Obituary of Alida Luz Morales

Alida Luz Morales, 88, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 in St. Mary's Hospital, Langhorne PA. Alida was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on February 3, 1933, one of eight children. She attended the University of Rio Piedras for two years. Alida has been married to Pablo Morales for 63 years and they have three daughters. Alida was employed in Vineland for DeSantis Dress Company for 25 years and was a supervisor for 20, before retirement. She loved traveling around the world, cooking, sewing, and gardening. Alida was an extremely talented cook and seamstress. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Pablo Morales; three daughters, Mirella and Radames Ramos of Vineland, Helen Gonzalez and partner Wilfredo Cuevas of Vineland, Judith and William Gruhler of Pennsylvania; her sister, Justina Ortiz of Puerto Rico, and five grandchildren, Jennifer Rodriguez, Roxanna DeSandies and husband Démien, Christy Rivera and husband Javier, William P. Gruhler and wife Kristen, and Lauren Gruhler; four great grandchildren, Javier Rivera, Marlayna Rivera, Maximilián DeSandies, and Aria Gruhler; and numerous nieces and nephews living in the United States. Alida is predeceased by six siblings, Jose Otero, Secundino Otero, Helena Otero, Candida Otero, Josefina Otero and Agustine Otero. A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2PM to 4PM at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 South Lincoln Ave., Vineland NJ 08361.
