Obituary of Peter G Rossi

Peter G. Rossi, 96 of Buena Vista Township, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Salem County, after an extended illness. Born in Buena Vista Township, he attended schools in Minotola. He was employed as a baker at Rossi Bakery, Zucca's Bakery and Palmonari Bakery. Peter also worked at Wene Chicks in Vineland. "Uncle Pete" was a bartender and cook at the North Italy Club for many years. He was honored by the North Italy Club for his outstanding service and made an honorary member for life. Pete enjoyed horse racing, the casinos, and cooking, especially pizzas. He is predeceased by his wife, Maria (Santini) Rossi, 3 brothers, Gene, Gus, and Ezio Rossi, 2 sisters, Ramona DeZutti and Millie Schoppel and 1 son-in-law, Joseph Alberto. He is survived by 2 daughters: Yvonne Szymborski and husband Raymond of Delaware Dolores Alberto of Long Island, New York 1 sister: Alma Ambrose 1 brother: Rudy Rossi 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.
