Obituary of Carolyn A. Marandino

Carolyn A. (Sasdelli) Marandino, 76, passed peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Samaritan Hospice Place in Vorhees NJ after a brief battle with cancer.

Carolyn was born on August 24, 1945, in Vineland to Telamuco (Leggs) and Elvina (Teenie) Sasdelli. She grew up in Vineland/Minotola and graduated from Vineland High School in 1963. Carolyn worked at Shoprite as a cashier and bookkeeper since she was 15 years old, which is where she met her beloved husband, Daniel Marandino. She worked for ShopRite until she retired.

Carolyn and Daniel got married in 1965 and had two children. They enjoyed their day trips to Fortescue and Sunday drives exploring the many surrounding areas. For Carolyn, the best time spent was with her family. Her number one joy in life was being with her children and grandchildren.

Carolyn is predeceased by her parents, Telemuco and Elvina Sasdelli; and her beloved husband, Daniel Marandino. Carolyn is survived by her brother, Ken (Rita) Sasdelli of Maryland; her son, Douglas (Andriana) Marandino of Cape May Court House; best friend and daughter, Tracy (Brian) Dawson of Vineland; her granddaughter, McKenzie Dawson; her grandsons, Marcus and Lucas Marandino; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was best known for her fun-loving personality. She was a thoughtful and caring friend who always had a kind word for everyone. Those who knew her, know she had a heart of gold and was a joy to be around. She was a friend to many and will be truly missed.

Relatives and friends will be (cautiously) received Monday, January 3, 2022 from 5:00pm until 6:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue Vineland, where a funeral service will be held at 6:30pm. Interment will be held privately.
