Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Nakovich, 99 of Vineland, was called home by the Lord on December 26, 2021. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the youngest of six children and a Navy WWII veteran. John moved to Roselle Park, NJ in the 1950s. After his retirement from Lockheed Electronics, he and his wife moved to Vineland. An avid golfer up until 96 years old, John also had a love for classic cars, many of which he owned. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He would never hesitate to help anyone and was loved by everyone he met. He is survived by two sons, John Nakovich of Fort Myers, FL (who he enjoyed exploring different places with), and Barry Nakovich of Pittsgrove, NJ (who he enjoyed golfing, and working on classic cars with); daughter-in-law Dawn (whose cooking he loved); grandchildren Emily and Stephen (Adrienne); and great grandchildren Brodie, Sadie, and Lucie (all were the absolute joys of his life); as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Edith LaRue Nakovich (Ketterer). John will forever be missed and remembered as Pop-Pop to all. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 10am until 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be held privately.
