Obituary of Norma M Mashenko

Norma Marta Mashenko passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born in Rosario, Argentina on September 3, 1946. In her early twenties, Norma attended beauty school and worked at a hair salon. She enjoyed dancing and cooking with her family. In her free time, she loved watching American movies. In 1972, Norma met and married the love of her life William "Bill" Mashenko and moved to the United States with their infant daughter Karen. Norma, Bill and Karen traveled the country for two years until they finally settled in Vineland, NJ. For the first several years, Norma worked as house cleaner throughout the Vineland area. She then entered the catering business and worked along with several different Vineland caterers. In the late 1980's, Norma began working at the Ramada Inn in Vineland as a banquet manager until her retirement. Working at Ramada was her passion. She wanted every single banquet to be perfect and memorable for the customers. She took great pride in her work and many greatly respected her tremendous work ethic. She especially loved her extended Ramada family. She was predeceased by her husband, William Mashenko; her parents, Jacinto and Amalia Villamea; four siblings, Esther Alessandria, Hugo Villamea, Francisco Villamea, and Maria Teresa Sacchi; and nephew and Godson, Guillermo Alessandria. Norma is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Lipkin and her two beloved nieces, Graciela Benavidez and Pamela Villamea, along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces whom she adored with all her heart. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm with funeral services at 7:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to Journey Hospice, 6712 Washington Ave. Suite 201, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234, in memory of Norma Mashenko, with gratitude to the loving and supportive staff.
