Bette Serena Saunders (nee-Davis) was born on February 3, 1939 to John and Winifred Davis. She spent most of her early years growing up in Philadelphia, PA along with her siblings, John Davis Jr, Robert Davis, Priscilla Davis (Simms), and Shirley Davis. Bette is predeceased by her husband Ronald Saunders, her daughter; Donna Lynn Dozier, her sisters; Priscilla Davis (Simms), and Shirley Davis, her brothers; John Davis Jr and Robert Davis. She was a long-time employee of the Woodbine State School along with one of her younger daughter, Donna Lynn, whom she lost in 2015. Bette retired after approximately 30 years of state service. Bette Serena Dozier-Saunders is survived by her daughters, Marsha J. Davis of North Cape May NJ, Susan W. Singleton and family of Georgia; Denise J, Dozier of Vineland, NJ; her sons, Julius L. Dozier and family of East Orange, NJ, Joel K. Dozier of Wildwood, NJ, Jule M. Dozier and family of Millville, NJ, Jerald L Dozier of Huntsville, Alabama, Jauzell L. Dozier and Family of Bridgeton, NJ, Jason L. Dozier and family of Woodbine, NJ, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends! Mom, we love you and we miss you dearly! Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm with a funeral service at 3:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private.
