Ronald G. Beaudoin died on Tuesday, March 19th surrounded by his family, following a long illness. Ron was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut and graduated from Central High School. He met Janet (Jan) Brophy while studying Industrial Engineering and Business Administration at the University of Connecticut. Following graduation, Ron and Jan married in 1958 and moved to Vineland, where they have lived for 54 years. He worked as a Supervisor for Kimble Glass for 40 years. Ron was in the National Guard from 1959 to 1964 and volunteered as an assistant Cub Scout Pack Leader for many years. Ron retired in 1998 and spent much of his retirement visiting Disney World and travelling through Europe with his lovely wife and travel companion, Jan. He enjoyed making new friends while on their tours, visiting historic sites, taking countless photographs and partaking of good food. Ron was a wine enthusiast, a lifelong UConn basketball fan and the master of ceremonies at his family's annual reunion, lovingly called BeaudoinFest. Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Jan; his sons, Ron and his wife Sheri of Frederick, MD, Greg and his wife Christina of Mt. Joy, PA and David and his wife Suzanne of Franklin Township. Ron adored his grandchildren Danielle (and her husband Brandon), Samantha (and her husband Dan), Joseph, Steven, Jonathan, Gabriella, Christopher, Jace, Patrick and Vivian; and great-grandchildren Alex and Luke. Ron is also survived by his niece Carol Wolter-Gustafson, her husband Paul and their daughters Rebecca and Melissa (and her husband Brent and daughter Katherine) of Jamaica Plain, MA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning from 10:30am to 11:30am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
