Obituary of Patsy F Ritchie

Patsy "Pat" F. Ritchie left this world for her heavenly home on Thursday, April 7th, 2022. She was 84 years of age. She will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Born in Lancaster, PA in March of 1938, Patsy was the first born of George and Genevieve Kramer. She graduated from Pequea Valley High School in 1956. She desired to be a disciple of Christ and she attended and graduated from Washington Bible College in 1961. While there, she met David G. Ritchie and they were married after their graduation in 1961. She became a mother to daughter Carla, born fall of 1962.

Shortly thereafter, Patsy and Dave embarked on a journey overseas and lived in Japan for 5 years. She had a son, Craig, in the spring of 1966 and the family returned to the US in 1969.

They eventually settled in South Jersey in the early 70s, first in Millville and then in Vineland. Patsy was a co-owner with Dave of ServiceMaster of Vineland. It was a family affair and she kept the business running smoothly with her bookkeeping and organizational skills.

Throughout her life, she continued to study the Bible and led and participated in Bible studies in church and in the community. Her heart and home were always open to those in need of love and compassion. She was a living embodiment of her faith in Christ.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Genevieve Kramer; brother-in-law, Robert Martin; aunts and uncles and extended family members.

She is survived by her husband, David G. Ritchie of Pitman, NJ; her children, Carla (Ritchie) and Jeffrey Green of Newark, DE; Craig and Jenny (Henderson) Ritchie of Vineland, NJ; grandchildren, Joshua Ritchie of Tacoma, WA; Caleb Ritchie of Vineland, NJ; Katie Ritchie of Vineland, NJ; sisters, Linda Martin of Belleville, PA and Donna Lefever (husband Tom) of Paradise, PA as well as extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 24th, 2022 at 2pm at Living Faith Alliance Church, 1987 S. Lincoln Avenue in Vineland, NJ 08361. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Living Faith Alliance Church/Missions in Patsy's name. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
