Obituary of Sarrail Gonzalez

Sarrail Gonzalez, 82, of Vineland, NJ, was received by his heavenly Savior on April 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. Sarrail was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on July 25, 1939, to Paulino Gonzalez Bermudez and Juana Ortiz Toledo. Sarrail was a founding member of La Iglesia Hispana Presbiteriana Bet-El in Vineland, NJ, and served as a ruling elder, deacon, and Sunday school teacher for 41 years. Sarrail is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Iris M. Gonzalez, and three daughters from that union, Joanne Gonzalez-Repp (Joseph), Lissette Gonzalez Sosa, and Shirley Gonzalez-Bernard, and three daughters from a previous marriage, Maribel Acutanza (Phil), Nancy Gonzalez, and Iris Cintron (Aristides); his brothers, Santo Gonzalez of Camden, NJ, and William Gonzalez of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons-in-law, Mario R. Sosa and Jose M. Bernard; sisters, Eulalia Gonzalez, Rosalina DelaRosa, Sara Gonzalez, and Ignacia Gonzalez; brothers, Antonio Gonzalez, Angel Gonzalez, and Adrian Gonzalez. Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10am to 11am followed by funeral services at 11am at La Iglesia Hispana Presbiteriana Bet-El, 410 S. Fourth Street, Vineland, with Rev. Freddy Jara officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ.
