Obituary of Cecelia E. Hassen

Cecelia Hassen, age 90, of Forest Grove, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, peacefully at home. Cecelia was born in Vineland to Louis and Mollie (Allonardo) Belfi on November 1, 1931. She attended school till age 16, then went to work as a seamstress making children's clothes in Vineland. On January 16, 1955, she married the love of her life, Edward Hassen. They were married for 43 wonderful years and raised three daughters. Cecelia will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, and selfless soul. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and crocheting, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Cecelia is survived by her children, Diane (William Foley), Lisa Hassen, Karen (Scott Naigle); grandchildren Joseph Hassen (Ashley nee Rigilano), and Grace and Faith Foley; great-grandchildren, Arlo and Ari Hassen; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hassen, who passed away in 1998; and her sister, Rosemarie (Belfi) Rambone. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 9:00am until 10:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am.
