Obituary of Julia B. Conte
Julia Bernice (nee Colangelo) Conte, 99, a resident of Cherry Hill, New Jersey for more than 70 years, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Julia led a full life, she cared for her husband and children, and still had time to become a world traveler. She learned to speak several languages, and was very talented. She painted, sketched, embroidered, crocheted, and knitted – just all around crafty. A lover of elephants and wildlife with the collections to prove it. She was a longtime summer resident of Ocean City, NJ and enjoyed swimming in the ocean and morning bike rides on the boardwalk. She also loved to square dance and sing; she even sang live on the radio as a child.
The widow of Pasquale Conte and loving mother to Patricia Skanes (husband James), Phyllis Madgey, Daniel Conte (wife Alice), Stephen Conte (wife Sandra), Wayne Conte, and Stanley Conte (husband Russell); loving grandmother of 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her six sisters, Esther Gallucci, Augusta Pawluczyk, Adeline Cilurse, Eleanore Jones, Jean Eddis and Rose Hird.
