Richard Ferrant "Jingles", born on Sept. 26, 1946, in Camden, passed away on Sept. 25, 2022.

He grew up in Elwood and served in the Vietnam War in the Heavy Army Artillery. He worked at Dougherty Brothers for 14 years, and then retired from Buena Regional School District as head custodian at Milanesi School.

Jingles served as VFW Commander at Post 158. In his retirement, you could find him at his home in Collings Lakes, sitting at his picnic table drinking beer & smoking his pipe. As his health declined, he lived with his daughter in Laurel Lake and then later at Complete Care in Cape May Court House.

He was loved by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clara Fanz and Richard Ferrant, Sr., and his loving wife, Ruth Ann Thompson.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Ferrant Baeten (Jesse) and Lisa Ferrant; his grandchildren, Howard McNemar, Eddie Nelson, Annie, Noah & Ruth Ann Hudock, and Jayden & Grace Baeten; his brothers, Joe Ferrant (Lisa) & Dickie Ferrant; sisters Susan Ferrant Hudock (Dave) & Mare Ferrant-Little (Ken); & many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 3:00pm at Living Waters Fellowship, 1151 North Ave., Port Norris.
