Obituary of Koppany Somogyi

Koppany Somogyi, 78, of Vineland NJ, passed away at his family's home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022.

Koppany was born in Kisvárda, Hungary and immigrated to America in 1972 to begin building his future as a Master Dental Technician. In 1978, he returned to his country for a short while only to marry the love of his life, Elizabeth. Afterward, he brought her to America to provide a life filled with hope, love, and peace.

Koppany was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife Elizabeth Somogyi. Together, for 45 years, they built a life based on hard work, respect, devotion, dedication to family, and unconditional love. They raised two wonderful daughters, Suzanne "Soozie" and Sylvia.

Koppany was a man of faith and prayer. He loved to take his family on vacations. He adored his one and only grandson, Andrew, and loved taking him every weekend to Avalon NJ to play at the playgrounds. He enjoyed creating beautiful gardens in his yard with Elizabeth. Koppany was loved by his community for his dedication in his career. He will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 from 11am to 12:30pm with funeral services at 12:30pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland NJ, 08361. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are welcomed.
