Obituary of Genaro Vazquez
Please share a memory of Genaro to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The gates of heaven have opened for our beloved father, Genaro Vazquez. He passed away suddenly on March 10, 2012. Born on January 20, 1944 in Comerio, PR, he came to the states in 1959, where he first moved to Camden, NJ. He then moved to Wilmington, DE and then Vineland, NJ where he spent the last 11 years of his life.
Genaro was a dedicated man of God who preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone he encountered. The salvation of lost souls was his priority. He often ministered in prisons and to the sick.
He will be remembered for his gift of song, and his ability to play a classical guitar in a manner that ushered in the presence of the Lord. Music was a gift he cherished and used to the very end.
He is survived by his five children: Luz, Ruthy, Yolanda, Eliezer, and Genaro Jr., his daughters and sons in law, Melissa, Byron, Melissa, and Neftali, and ten grandchildren, Chad, Amber, Devin, Mikaela, Madelyn, Gabrielle, Lanie, Blake, Ava and Bryce. He also leaves behind siblings from Puerto Rico, and many nieces and nephews. We know he is enjoying endless heavenly worship. We will see him again.
