My deepest condolences. Tim has always been very kind to me and has always been a joyful person to see at a bbq or just out and about. A couple of the conversations we had after my Dad passed gave me great comfort and I will always be grateful. So sorry for everyone’s loss.

Deepest condolences on the loss of a very nice man. Going to miss his smile. Met many years ago in the late 70’s then again when you became a customer. Always knew when daughters were home. Millville has lost a good man way too soon. Rest in Peace.

"INTEGRITY, LIKE LOVE, TRANSCENDS WORLDS"
Scott Peck, the great psychiatrist who became a Christian only after exploring all the religions of the world, wrote that in his famous book, The Road Less Traveled.
Tim Shannon, like his siblings and his mother and father, modeled love. He modeled it in his business and when he led our city through its greatest years. He gave the people around him his love – and we loved him for that.
Tim was also a beacon of integrity. He gave everyone who came to his business the very best price that he was able to give them. No one was ever taken advantage of for financial gain. And when he was mayor, he purchased tickets for him and his family to go to every single performance of the Levoy theater during those first struggling years. Then he attended the performances personally. What an example he set by doing that! Leslie, Amie, and McKenzie, all of Millville mourns with you.

Dear Bob, Victoria, Tina and families,
We want to extend our sincerely condolences for the loss of Tim and we pray that knowing that others are mourning your loss can in some small way help to ease your sorrow. Tim was one of a kind. A good friend, comedian, and hard worker for our hometown of Millville and all of its residents, even the cats! He was a hero to all our children and the entire community. He was also a fantastic Santa Claus. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Dave and Cathy Neder

Leslie, Amie, Mckenzie and families,
Words are difficult to come by to console you. Tim was such a presence in all your lives as well as so many of us. Having been blessed to coach him in two of his four high school sports I saw first hand what a tremendous athlete he was. Beyond that, it was apparent he was a great leader. With all of his accolades he remained as selfless an athlete I ever coached.
All of you will continue to be in my prayers that God provides you with the strength to deal with his loss. Tim touched so many people in so many ways. It was a blessing to coach him but it has been a greater blessing to have him as a friend.
May God bless him in heaven

It was lovely see how Tim (and Rob Shannon) were so caring.Tim knew everyone in
Millville and everyone knew him. He led a special life, taken from us much too soon.

Tim was a student of mine in Health/Physical Education class and also an athletic on the football team. I have many fond memories of those years with Tim. I would say the biggest impact Tim had on me as a teacher/coach was that he helped save my teaching career in 1973 helping to organize a walkout at the JR/SR High School. That was 50 years ago this coming April. The walkout worked! Love you Tim - My You Rest In Peace!

Remembering Tim as one of the Mayors I had the privilege of working with during my time at The City of Millville….his infectious laugh….we always knew when he was in the building! He was always willing to listen….and always quick with “Listen, let me tell ya a story…”. Gone way too soon!
My sincere condolences to Leslie, Amie and McKenzie, and the entire Shannon family. -Sharon Smith

Even though I was no relation to Uncle Tim, I still called him that affectionately so. Whenever we crossed paths, he would talk to me like he had known me forever, and always brought a smile to my face. He also had one of the most generous hearts I’ve ever encountered. When my father passed, the Shannon family helped my sister and I immensely. Without their help I’m not sure where I’d be right now. His heart, smile, and legacy will live on through the many people he touched, and I’m so thankful to have been one of the many! I am so sorry for the family’s loss.

I met Tim as a math student in my class at MSHS. He was one of those students that you knew was missing if he wasn’t in class. Fun to be around, always that infectious smile and laugh. Later got to play sports with him and against him. I remember a softball game, we were team mates and I tried to score from 3rd on a fly ball. Dave Sharpless was the catcher and the collision at the plate folded me up like a rag. I kinda blacked out and when I came to I saw Tim looking at me and he said “if that had been me on third I would have given myself up half way to the plate” with that big grin on his face. Such a great guy, a huge loss. Condolences to the family.

Having known Tim for many, many years, throughout his entire career, he was truly dedicated to the great City of Millville, the sports and youth programs. He is without a doubt, Mr. Bolt! Having served with Tim on the Millville City Commission, he serverd perfectly as Commissioner of "Fun". His loss is definitely a loss for all of Millville. Condolences to the Shannon family.
