Manolin was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he was one of 15 siblings. He lived in Brooklyn, NY in the 1960's. He often times would reminisce about that era in his life he called the good old days. While in NY, he enjoyed working for a doll manufacturing company called Goldberger Doll, attaching together doll heads. He said that was one of the most fun jobs he enjoyed in that era because his co-workers showed him love and kindness. His boss would always comment on how he worked very productively.

In 1978, he moved to Vineland, NJ with his wife and children. Manolin dedicated his time raising a family and was a very devoted husband and Christian. He was an avid bible reader and worshiper of God. He always demonstrated his love for God and his family. He prayed every day and received spiritual nourishment and a tremendous peace from the Lord. Manolin could also quote hundreds of scriptures from the bible, including bible verses and psalms, by memorization.

Many of Manolin's pastimes included walking downtown Vineland, visiting his favorite grocery store, flea market, and listening to his shortwave vintage radio tune into broadcasts all over the world.
