Obituary of Michael M. Lods
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael M. Lods, 51 of Vineland has found his eternal peace within after becoming one with the universe Sunday morning. Michael was all things - a seeker, a father, a friend, an entertainer, and the center of laughter wherever he went. Michael told the finest stories that seemed to grow more and more entertaining every time you heard one of his classic tales.
He was a friend of Bill and was committed to sharing the power of unity, service, and recovery with friends in need. He was most at home in nature and always loved taking his children on hiking adventures and camping trips. Music was his passion, and he could always find something to put you on to. He communicated his love by curating the perfect playlist for your special event, whether a family reunion or labor and delivery.
Michael was affectionately known as “king of the universe and master of all he surveys” to his family. He lived many lives and always had a nugget of wisdom from his vast experiences to offer those he loved. He was Coach Mike to the Rebels soccer team and could be heard across the fields putting the boys on the “attack.” Michael was a salesman by trade for Brady IFS/SupplyItAll, but was at his best moonlighting as a chef with his brother “Mangler” at the “Looking Glass Café,” or his favorite carney event.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Lods, and their children, John Henry and James Lods, as well as his daughters, Maia (Zac) Landicini, Corinna Lods, and Orion Bloise; granddaughter, Magnolia Landicini. As well as his mother, Patricia Petretti, father and step-mother; George and Marianne Lods; brother, George (Palma) Lods; sister, Joabby (David) Coughlin; step-brother, Luke (Andrea) Kornbluh; step-sister, Kim (Tom) Cruz; father/mother in-law, Wayne and, Valerie Groetsch, brothers in-law, Andrew (Stevi) Groetsch, Alex Groetsch, and grandfather, John Braidi, as well an endless list of cousins, nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11am to 1pm with funeral services to follow at 1pm at DeMarco-Luisi funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Seabrook House, 133 Polk Lane Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
