Obituary of Ruth N. Heredia

Ruth Heredia, 68, unexpectedly went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2, 2023. She was born on January 1, 1955, in Aibonito, PR. She was the daughter of Santos Irrizary and the late Domitila Rosario.

She was a resident of Cumberland County since July of 1971 and attended Higher Place Ministries in Vineland. She was a factory worker at Crown Clothing for 46 years and was dearly loved by her co-workers who will miss the routine of her blasting worship music on the radio in the mornings. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, spending time with her grandchildren and going to the gym. Ruth will be remembered for her daily routine house visits, good humor, famous hugs, being a hard worker, and her unwavering willingness to help those she loved.

Ruth is predeceased by her mother, Domitila Rosario, and survived by her father, Santos Irrizary; her siblings, Lillian (Toño) Gonzalez, Cesario Zayas Jr, Evelyn Zayas, Elizabeth (William) Zayas, Luis (Elizabeth) Zayas, Ruben (Jenny) Zayas, Nelita (Willy) Lugo, Angelina (Matt) Irizarry; her daughter, Leslie Heredia (Christian Adorno); her son, Vincent Heredia (Nilda Acevedo); 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren and her companion of 24 years, Luis Figueroa.

The love she shared with so many will be greatly missed but we rejoice that she eternally lives with the Lord. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm with funeral services at 3:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private.
