Obituary of Michael A. Bianco Jr.

Michael Bianco, Jr. died on March 16, 2023. Mike was the son of the late Michael Bianco, Sr. and Adele Bianco. He was born and raised in Vineland, NJ. He attended Vineland Public Schools and graduated from VHS in 1951. Mike joined the U.S. Navy following graduation and proudly served his country for four years on the aircraft carriers, USS MONTEREY AND USS CORAL SEA. Upon his discharge from the military, he returned to Vineland and joined the Vineland Police Department in 1955 , retiring 35 years later. He also worked at his own business, Vineland Vacuum and Burglar Alarm Systems which is now known as Bianco Security Systems, Inc., and was taken over by his son, Michael, III.

Mike's favorite retirement past-time was working in the yard, making bird houses and going out for lunch. He was "Mr. Fix It" for anyone who needed his expertise. Even his grandchildren knew that PopPop could fix anything.

Mike is survived by his wife, Dolores, and children Diana (Richard) Bertonazzi, Michael (Kathleen) Bianco, III, Nancy (John) Dickenson and Kim (Sam) Vinnick, as well as grandchildren, Daniel (Emily) Bertonazzi, Steven (Raianna) Bertonazzi, Thomas Bertonazzi, Christina Bianco, Gianna Bianco, Michael Bianco, IV, Eliana Dickenson, Jesse (Jessica) Dickenson, Justin (Lindsey) Dickenson, Anthony (Anna Marie) Trivelli, Ivy Vinnick, and David Vinnick. His stepsons include Edward Montagna and Darrin (Robyn) Montagna, and step grandchildren include Caroline (Matt) DeTetta, Erica Montagna, Emily Montagna, Alexa Montagna as well as great-grandchildren Owen Bertonazzi and Alaina DeTetta. Mike is also survived by his brother Dominic (Grace) Bianco and sister Mary Bianco as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Eleanor Bianco, Irene Wandland and stepson Robert "Bob" Montagna. He will surely be missed by his canine companion, Daisy.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 9am to 12pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 1pm at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd. Vineland. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, the SJ Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N. Delsea Dr. Vineland or a charity of one's choice.
