Obituary of Barbara C. Muessig

It is with a sorrow filled heart that I write of the passing of Barbara Muessig (nee Magazu), 79, of Vineland, NJ. She crossed over the afternoon of March 13 at Cooper University Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Muessig; daughter-in-law Chae McGuire; a brother, James Gentile and wife Tara; and sister-in-law Harriet Magazu. Barbara was the daughter of the late Lou and Beatrice (nee Mixner) Magazu. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walt Muessig; daughter Caryn; step father Louis Gentile; and brother Louis Magazu. While raising her children in Vineland, Barbara worked in a small printing company, Glendale press. She later became an expert scientific glass lathe operator for Kontes glass. Barbara was an accomplished artisan who enjoyed skiing, country western dancing, painting, woodworking and creating cakes for all occasions. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2023, from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland.
