Obituary of Alyce M. Hill

Please share a memory of Alyce to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alyce (Murphy) Hill, 81, passed away on April 19, 2023, in Vineland, NJ.

Wife of the late George Hill, loving mother of George Hill, Tim Hill, Sue Pierson, John Hill, Pete Hill, Erin Frakes and preceded in death by Gerry Mahan. Grandmother of George and Michael Hill, James Angus, John, Brian, and Logan Hill, and Mace, Bridget and Shannon Hill, Christopher Mahan, Megan and Erin Hill, Dylan, and Kennedy Frakes. Great-grandmother to Piper, Dakota, and Zoey.

Born in Mount Airy and spent most of her life raising her family in Manayunk, she embraced many friends and family members throughout her life. Through her kindness and generosity, those who knew her always seemed to walk away from interactions with her feeling like they had just met their second mother.  As a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan, she was able to watch her teams win championships in recent years. In good years or bad though, she took enjoyment out of every game.  Much as she took enjoyment out of life every day.

Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 9:30am until 10:30am, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church 119 Rector St, Phila, PA 19127. In lieu of flowers please donate to Saint Vincent De Paul Society https://ssvpusa.org/?form=FirstCampaign
