Obituary of Martin C Yusko

Martin Charles Yusko passed away peacefully at the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland on May 2nd, 2023. He was born January 10, 1946, in Elmira, New York. After graduating from Thomas Alva Edison High School in Elmira, New York he enlisted in the United States Navy. He would go on to serve for 10 years as a Navy Corpsman. During his time in the Navy, he trained as a laboratory corp. technician. After 10 years he received an honorable discharge. He went on to work at various hospitals as a laboratory manager in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He ultimately retired from the United States Post Office in early 2000.
Martin loved all things outdoors, including boating, camping, hunting, fishing, and carving with his extensive knife collection. But above all, Martin loved spending time with his family and his dog, Beau. Martin is survived by his loving wife Rita, whom he just celebrated 39 years of marriage with. Also survived by his children, Kimberly Sardoni (Joseph), Martin J. Yusko, and Melissa Field (Stan); his stepsons, Jack L. Adams, Jr., Jason Adams (Pamela), and Justin Adams (Meghan); as well as his grandchildren, Sarah, John, Lindsey, Lauren, Emily, Sam, Mike, Matt, and Isabella; and his siblings, Sandra Nelson (John), Jack Yusko (Mary), Frances Smith (Barry), and Diane Knapp (Rick). He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Yusko, and Marian.
Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. A memorial service will follow at 12:00pm. Interment will be held privately.
