Arthur (Art) Mendini, 66, of Vineland passed away on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, after a long, well-fought battle with cancer. Art was born on June 18, 1956, to Pauline Mendini in Vineland. After graduating from Vineland High School, Art enlisted in the Air Force where he served as an air traffic controller. Following his time in the service he spent his career as a proud union sheet metal worker employed by Buena Plumbing and Boulevard Aire. In his personal time, he served as a volunteer coach and manager for daughter's softball teams for 12 years and was a member of the Birch Hill Hunting Club in Tioga, PA. Throughout his life he enjoyed reading TIME Magazine and National Geographic, watching NASCAR and football, and the Grateful Dead.
He is predeceased by his parents, Pauline and Peter Mendini; and sisters Ann Graham and Donna Mendini. He is survived by his wife Melonie of Vineland; ex-wife Julie of Buena; children Valerie of Buena, AJ (Brian Smith) of Fort Myers, FL and Stephanie (Alex Valentin) of Buena; four grandchildren, Giulia, Nico, Mia and Viviana; stepchildren Rachel and Matthew; and two nephews Gary and Michael. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held privately at a later date.
