Obituary of Gloria C. Trivellini

Gloria Trivellini (nee DeMatte), 94, of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2023, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland after a brief illness. A lifelong Vineland resident, she was the daughter of the late Edith and Anthony DeMatte.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Bruno Trivellini who passed away in 1978 at the young age of 57. She was also predeceased by her parents, Edith (Caregnato) and Anthony DeMatte, and sister, Dolores Braidi.

Gloria graduated from Vineland High School in 1946 and worked on Landis Avenue at Cambria Shop and Vineland National Bank, and at the family business, DeMatte Oil Service. She married the love of her life Bruno in 1950 and was a full-time wife, mother and homemaker throughout her marriage of 28 years. Later she worked at Prudential Insurance in Millville, NJ, and the Card Peddler and JC Penney in Vineland.

Love of family was truly the hallmark of Gloria's life. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than to follow her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives and boast of their many accomplishments. She also loved to go to family parties to celebrate milestones.

Gloria was strong and independent and admired for these and her many other wonderful attributes. Truly proud of her Italian heritage, Gloria welcomed and loved all whose lives she touched, but was particularly happy to know if you had some Italian DNA in your lineage.

Gloria loved food and was an excellent cook. Her family will always remember the wonderful aromas that came from her kitchen throughout the years. Her traditional Italian recipes will be handed down and cherished. In addition, Gloria loved the farm, flowers and music. For many years, Gloria enjoyed the Cumberland County Single Parents Society dances, especially dancing the Polka with her friend, Charlie Lampe and in her later years, game shows.

She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Paul (Jane) Trivellini and Robert (Cammy) Trivellini; one daughter, Donna (Jim) Vertolli; three grandsons, Paul (Jodi) Trivellini, Joseph Trivellini, and LCDR Travis (Danielle) Vertolli; two granddaughters, Lara Trivellini and Gina Trivellini; great-grandsons, Mateo Trivellini, Gino Trivellini, Marco Trivellini, Sloan Vertolli, Mason Vertolli; and great-granddaughter, Juliana Trivellini, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends whom she loved and enjoyed.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9am to 10:45am followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11am at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave Vineland, NJ.
