Obituary of Betty F. Franchetta

Betty Flora Franchetta (Smith), of Vineland and Pittsgrove area passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023. She was born on November 4, 1930 in Millville, NJ, to the late Smith family. Betty was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Betty, known for her vibrant personality, cherished spending time with her family. She had a passion for playing bingo, visiting casinos and exploring thrift stores. Betty also enjoyed camping and traveling, creating beautiful memories along the way.

Betty is survived by her sons, Albert (Mary Anne) and Joseph (Missy); stepdaughter, Maria Estrada; grandson, John (Dana); and several great grandchildren. Also, her caretakers Jennifer Paollili and Madison Richards alongside of hospice. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Albert W.; her sons, Anthony and Gerald; grandson, Michael, as well as her sisters, brothers and parents.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ 08361. A burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ 08360.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, 524 NW Blvd. Vineland, NJ 08360, honoring Betty's deep appreciation for our veterans.

Betty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
