Tomas Arvelo Gonzalez (Mato), age 86, died peacefully September 20, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer and other illnesses.

Tomas was born on April 24,1937 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. He then moved to New Jersey and lived in Vineland for over 65 years. Tomas was an extremely hard worker. He loved to play dominoes and tending to his gardens. He was always joking around and had a loving heart.

Tomas is survived by his four children, Israel Latorre and wife, Maria; Carmen Esquilin, David Arvelo, and Osvaldo Arvelo; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a service from 11:00am to 12:00pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland NJ 08361. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland NJ 08360.

The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to those individuals who provided wonderful care to him on a daily basis.
