Edward J. Sherwood, 87 of Vineland, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Lincoln Specialty Care Center, Vineland. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a resident of East Vineland for many years. He served during World War II in the Naval Air Corps. Edward started working as a linotype operator at the Asbury Park Press, worked at the Courier News (Plainfield and Bridgewater, NJ), and ended up as a corporate production control director at USA Today in Rosslyn, VA. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in East Vineland and enjoyed fishing, reading and discussing politics. Survived by: son, Kevin (Nancy), daughter, Kathleen Stalgaitis (Robert), grandchildren Ryan (Kristi), James, and Carolyn, and his brother, William. Predeceased in death by his wife Ann R. McConnell, his brother, John, and his sister-in-law, Joyce. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am at St. Padre Pio Parish, St. Mary's Church, East Vineland. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Friends will be received on Saturday at the Church from 10am to 11am.
