Blanca lived in the house right next to us with her husband Louie and two daughters Brunilda and Maria. If I couldn't find my girls they were next door eating rice and beans at Blanca and Louie's. They were the very best neighbhors anyone could hope for.
Blanca use to make Rice and Gandules as well as pasteles fir use at Christmas every year. My 4 children have fond memories of that and my oldest daughter makes Rice & Gandules fir her family all because of our dear neighbor.
