Obituary of Jerry Lee Groover
Jerry Groover passed away on November 27 after a brief illness. Jerry was born on Feb. 17 in Bridgeton, NJ. He was the son of Lee and Lulu Groover. At the age of 17, Jerry went into the Army where he earned his high school diploma. During his time serving our country, Jerry was deployed to Korea where he became a dog handler. He was so very proud to be an Army veteran.
After discharge from the Army, Jerry started his 45 year career as a top-notch machinist for General Machinery Co.
He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Susan, for over 59 wonderful years. Jerry's passions throughout his life were his family, his dogs, Lady and Stella, the Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies, bowling, and fishing. Jerry enjoyed many fly away vacations and road trips with his amazing children and unbelievable grandchildren. So much fun and laughter was had by all.
Jerry was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald Loder of Bridgeton, NJ. and Robert Groover of Millville. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Mueller) Groover, his daughters, Lisa Baskow, Jacqueline Olivio (husband Tony Olivio), Kelly Gandy (husband Dwayne Gandy), and Dawn Landreth. Jerry is also survived by those "Oh so fabulous" grandchildren: Robert and Brandon Baskow; Amanda and Anthony Olivio; Madison, Ethan, and Logan Gandy; and Crystal and Thomas Clifton.

Services for this precious man will be at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home located at 2755 S. Lincoln Ave, Vineland, NJ 08361. Viewing will be on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 from 10:00am -11:00am. Funeral services will be on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be at the Cumberland County Veterans' Cemetery on Trench Road in Bridgeton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in loving memory of this kind soul, Jerry, may be made to the American Red Cross.
