Obituary of Gerardo Masucci
Gerardo Masucci, 94, passed away peacefully on December 6th at Cooper Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Gerardo was born on May 20th, 1929, in Flumeri, Avellino. He was a master tailor who immigrated from Italy in 1962. He worked as a foreman at several area clothing factories before retiring 32 years ago.
His greatest passion was playing his accordion, often entertaining at celebrations such as the Padre Pio Festival. His other passion was going to Atlantic City to engage in his favorite game-table poker.
He is survived by his wife, Gilda of 66 years; his daughters, Maria and Nancy and son-in-law, Michael Montalvo, along with his granddaughter, Ashley (Desiere) Doulis and her husband Peter Doulis. He is also survived by his sister, Silvia Fierro; nephew, Vincent Fierro and niece, Antoinette Fierro, along with other extended family here, and in Italy.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 10am to 11:15am, followed by a funeral liturgy at 11:30am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, Texas 75284.
